The Body Literacy Project Pilot Program Application

Program Purpose

This pilot program is designed to evaluate the impact of The Body Literacy Project in 7th and 8th grade settings. Participating schools will receive a 50% rebate in exchange for full participation and submission of required data and feedback.

Pilot Program Application

1. Implementation

  • Deliver all lessons from the Cycle Aware curriculum for girls and Men in the Making curriculum for boys in the scope and sequence specified in the Teacher Guides
  • Complete all of the assignments in the Student Packet
  • Commit to female educators teaching the Cycle Aware lessons and male educators teaching the Men in the Making lessons
  • Exception: At the educator's discretion, the healthy arousal section from Men in the Making may be omitted. If omitted, please mention this in your final feedback.

2. Baseline & Post Data Collection

  • Administer provided pre- and post-assessments to students
  • Administer provided survey to educators
  • Submit aggregated, anonymized results via digital forms or scanned copies of paper forms

3. Parental Consent

  • Obtain parent/legal guardian consent for student participation in the pilot study, including attendance in educational lessons and completion of pre/post surveys.
  • Ensure parents understand that participation is voluntary, confidential, and may be withdrawn at any time without consequences.
  • Communicate the study procedures, minimal risks, lack of compensation, and protections for student privacy and data security.

4. Data Privacy

All shared data must be anonymized. If using paper copies, please ensure that no individual identifying information is included.

Rebate Terms

The 50% rebate will be issued via check upon verification of completion of all required data submissions. Incomplete submissions will result in no rebate.
